Clawmark is a web design agency based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, operated by Andres Henao ("Clawmark", "we", "us", "our"). We design and build custom Webflow websites for small Brisbane businesses on a monthly subscription model.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

02What We Collect

We only collect information that's necessary to provide our services or to communicate with you. This includes:

• Identity information — your name and business name
• Contact details — email address and phone number
• Business information — your industry, suburb, and details about your current web presence
• Communication records — emails, enquiry form submissions, and notes from calls or meetings
• Usage data — anonymised information about how visitors interact with our website (collected via Google Analytics)

We do not collect sensitive information (such as health, financial, or government-issued ID data) unless you voluntarily provide it and there's a clear reason to do so.

03How We Collect It

We collect personal information through the following channels:

• Contact and enquiry forms on our website (clawmark.com.au)
• Calendly booking forms when you schedule a discovery call
• Direct email or phone conversations you initiate with us
• Google Analytics, which automatically collects anonymised usage data when you visit our site
• Social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram) when you contact or follow us there

We only collect information directly from you — we don't buy or source lead lists from third parties.

04Why We Use It

We use your information for the following purposes:

• To respond to enquiries and schedule consultations
• To scope, design, and build your website
• To manage your ongoing subscription and provide support
• To send service-related updates (not marketing, unless you've opted in)
• To improve our website and services using anonymised analytics data

We won't use your information for any purpose that isn't directly related to the services you've engaged us for — or without your explicit consent.

05Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal information. Ever. We only share information with third-party service providers where it's necessary to deliver our services. These include:

• Webflow — the platform we use to build and host client websites (webflow.com)
• Google Analytics — anonymised website usage data (analytics.google.com)
• Calendly — for scheduling discovery calls (calendly.com)
• Vercel — web hosting for clawmark.com.au (vercel.com)
• Email providers — for delivering and receiving emails

Each of these providers operates under their own privacy policies and, where applicable, data processing agreements. We only share what's needed and nothing more.

We may disclose your information if required by Australian law or a court order — but only to the extent legally required.

06Storage & Security

Your information is stored securely using cloud-based tools (primarily Google Workspace and Webflow). Access is restricted to Clawmark personnel only — which, right now, is just Andres.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. That includes secure passwords, two-factor authentication, and encrypted communications where available.

No data transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you have concerns about sharing sensitive information, contact us first at hello@clawmark.com.au and we'll find the safest way to handle it.

We retain your data for as long as you're a client and for a reasonable period after the end of our relationship, in case of disputes or legal requirements. Once it's no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

07Cookies & Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — things like which pages are popular and how people find us. This data is anonymised and aggregated. We can't use it to identify you personally.

Google Analytics uses cookies — small text files stored in your browser — to track this information. No personal details are attached to these cookies.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.

We don't use any other tracking technologies or advertising cookies on clawmark.com.au.

08Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct any information that's inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete
• Request deletion of your information where we're no longer required to retain it
• Complain if you believe we've mishandled your information

If you're not satisfied with how we handle your complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

09Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to external sites — including Calendly for booking calls, and social media platforms. Once you leave clawmark.com.au, this Privacy Policy no longer applies.

We're not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party website. We recommend reading their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

10Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if our tools change or if laws are updated. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.

If we make material changes, we'll update the page and, where reasonable, notify active clients directly.
